Chia Ladoos

No fuss ladoo (balls) recipe, bursting with goodness of omega 3 & 6. Lots of protein, fibres and antioxidants.

Ingredients
  

  • 30 gm chia seeds
  • 300 gm milk solids & powder
  • 15 gm toasted & grossly chopped cashews
  • 7-8 freshly grounded green cardamom
  • 2 tbsp desiccated coconut
  • Sweetener to taste

Instructions
 

  • Milk solids warmed up to a working consistency.
  • Add in date and raisin paste to sweetness. Mix it all well.
  • Toast the chopped cashews. Place them aside to cool. Now throw in the dedicated coconut and chia seeds. Finally the toasted cashews.Give it all a good stir.
  • Add milk powder if required to reach a binding & rolling consistency. I used 1-2 tbsp for above recipe.
  • Mix it all well. Cover the container with cling and rest the batter for few minutes. Finally shape is to your choice. Ready to gobble up!!

Notes

Milk solids can be purchased from Indian store if you do not wish to prepare at home.
Vegan lifestyle; Use soft tofu crumbles and plant cream cheese.
For sweetening I have used raisins and date paste. Use a sweetener of your choice to taste. One can use either or both.
Nuts and chia deliver vivid texture to the ladoos, be free to increase or decrease content to taste.
