I must confess, I am not a broccoli lover but this raita, along with couple of other curries, which I recently tasted at a friend’s baby shower were just flavoursome and inviting.
Finally I have started adding broccoli florets to my grocery basket, to explore and incorporate it more in my every day Indian meals.
Broccoli Raita

Finally I have started adding broccoli florets to my grocery basket, to explore and incorporate it more in my every day Indian meals.

- 250 gm Whisked Yoghurt/Curd
- 2 Green Chillies optional
- 1/2 tsp Grated Ginger
- 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds
- Pinch of asafoetida
- Salt to taste
- 1 tsp Oil
Instructions
- Wash and grate or chop broccoli.
- In a pan heat oil add cumin seeds and allow it to splutter. Add ginger, chillies, asafoetida and sauté until ginger becomes light brown and tends to leave pan with droplets of oil oozing out of the content.
- Add broccoli, salt and sauté for 3-4 minutes in medium flame or until broccoli gets cooked but still crunchy.
- Add cooked broccoli to whisked curd and mix well. At this stage you can adjust salt, if required.
